Code of Conduct
Updated 2 October 2026
Respect other players
No harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, sexual content aimed at others, stalking or bullying — in chat, hero names or anywhere else. Disagree about loot, not about people.
Hero names
Names must not be offensive, impersonate staff or real people, or advertise anything. We may rename a hero whose name breaks this rule.
Fair play
No bots, macros that play for you, modified clients, packet editing, speed hacks or any software that gives an unfair advantage. The Wilderness is full-loot PvP by design: fighting there is fair; exploiting bugs to win is not.
Bugs and exploits
Found a bug that duplicates items, gives free gold or breaks the rules of the game? Report it with the Report a bug button. Knowingly using it — or sharing it — can lead to a reset or ban.
Trading
Trade freely in game (the Grand Market, parties). Buying or selling gold, items, heroes or services for real money or anything outside the game is not allowed, and scamming other players is never allowed.
Chat
No spam, flooding, advertising, links to scams, or sharing anyone’s personal information (including your own recovery code — never give it to anyone). Chat and hero names pass through a filter that stars out slurs and other offensive words; trying to get around it still breaks these rules.
Reporting and blocking
If another player breaks these rules, report them: click or right-click (computer) or press and hold (phone) one of their chat lines, or use Report on their hero card, and pick a reason. Their recent chat is sent with the report, a moderator reviews every report, and they are never told who reported them. You can also block a player: you stop seeing their chat and they can’t invite you to a party or pass you items. Unblock them any time in Settings. For anything urgent, email support@ashenvale.io.
Accounts
Your recovery code is your account: keep it private. One person per hero; don’t share, sell or take over other players’ heroes.
Enforcement
We may warn, mute (no chat for a set time), remove items, reset, rename or ban heroes that break these rules, at our discretion. A muted player is told why and until when; a banned player can’t log in and is told why. A ban doesn’t delete the hero, so lifting it restores everything. To appeal a mute or ban, email support@ashenvale.io with your hero’s name. During the beta we may also reset progress for everyone if the game needs it.
